Adaptable Software Configuration Management Process: An Investigation rachel alt simmons agile by design an implementation guide to analytic lifecycle management Adaptable Software Configuration Management Process: An Investigation rachel alt simmons agile by design an implementation guide to analytic lifecycle management

Adaptable Software Configuration Management Process: An Investigation

There have been many studies and examples in the literature separately demonstrating the benefits of Agile software development and Software Configuration Management process to software development organizations. There is, however, a general misconception that these two practice domains cannot coexist in a single environment without compromising the values of each other, and there is little reporting on such phenomenon and/or how practitioners can benefit from it. The aim of this book is to present the findings of our initial research and to identify Australian Agile Software Development Organizations having such coexistence. This study will use ‘organization size” as a lens to analyse implementation variations of Agile and SCM practices and the perceived importance of SCM process in the agile environment. This research as a whole will support SCM practitioners in particular and IT practitioners in general by providing better understanding of SCM Process in agile environments. It will also contribute knowledge towards theory of lean.

Design and Implementation of an Auto Pilot Stabilization System rachel alt simmons agile by design an implementation guide to analytic lifecycle management Design and Implementation of an Auto Pilot Stabilization System rachel alt simmons agile by design an implementation guide to analytic lifecycle management

Design and Implementation of an Auto Pilot Stabilization System

An aircraft autopilot is a combination of mechanical, electrical & software systems that guide a vehicle without human intervention. Piloting aircraft is a very complex & tedious job resulting in wear & tear of pilots in long distance flights. Autopilot feature in aircraft's helps to reduce the work load on pilots making them more productive & active. This project aims at design & implementation of Auto Pilot Control System. Thrust required to take off flight along with added payload can be achieved by giving PWM pulse to the main motor. Main motor draws high amount of current which can be supplied using H-brigde circuit. Sensors such as Ultrasonic sonar & Accelerometer are placed onboard to limit the flight height &caliberate the tilt angle respectively. Microcontroller & Power supply to onboard electronic components are placed off the board to reduce the payload of the flight. Flight is being very sensitive to added additional payload, making it difficult to stabilize. Stability greatly matters to safe take off & landing of the flight & to avoid the vibration of the flight body. Stability of the flight can be greatly enhanced by introducing the Gyroscope to re-orient the flight.

The Scrum method as an instrument of Lean Management

It?s necessary to optimize working processes because of the economical benefits and it increases the lastingness of resources and working overhead. Methods especially in the software development were created to help organizations increasing their output while reducing costs. This is out of the economical principle where the idea is from to produce the highest output with less input. The scrum method is a agile method out of the lean management and was created by Toyota. This method was taken over and adapted from the car industry to the software development. Today a lot of big companies work agile with scrum. The increasing trend of using scrum and other agile methods shows the demand of reducing costs in times of uncertainly financial markets. The implementation of scrum through agile42.com within a customer shows the empiric way how this works.

Workflow Management Concepts for Agile Long-Term Workflows: Enabling model changes on active workflow instances

Revision with unchanged content. Over the course of the past 15 years the business environment has significantly changed. Enterprises are no longer limited to local markets. In order to work effectively, they have to be agile and constantly adapt their business processes. Traditional Workflow Management software solutions are limited in their support for this kind of environment, often working under the precondition of standardized, repeatable processes. Current research is focused on a new generation of Workflow Management Systems that allows modifications to individual workflows even while they are undergoing execution. Contrary to traditional approaches such applications must provide concepts for suspension, locking and recovery that are minimally invasive but yet able to ensure consistency of modifications. This book provides a detailed overview of the motivation for this kind of system as well as an architectual concept for the implementation that covers the most frequently used workflow patterns.
